Mission
The Green County History Museum was a ten-year project with the following mission, vision and goals.
MISSION: Create an official 501(c)-3 Non-Profit Chartered Educational Museum in Greensburg formed to educate and advance the knowledge of history relevant to the present and future of Green County.
VISION: Provide a faculty for the preservation and display of a wide range of historic artifacts and recorded vents of celebrated value to Green County.
VISITOR EXPERIENCE: Create a collection of artifacts that defines the historical core of Green County to be viewed by visitor moving through various exhibit oriented displays features the use of digital media, still and moving images and interactive presentations.
Contributions
The museum is extremely grateful for all the support received for the museum over the years and wants to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the many donors who volunteered their time or gave monetary donations.
Initial Fund-Raising
In particular we would like to thank those initial contributors who helped fund each of the anodized gold metal letters spelling out “Green County History Museum” posted on the top front exterior of the building. Those contributors are:

Items and Artifacts
Although many of the items and artifacts have been donated to the museum, the objective is not to buy or purchase or own any of the historical items on display. Family heritage items stay with that family and family items can be taken back to family at any point in time. Visit the Contact page to inquire about having an item on display at the museum.
Honor Patrons
Primarily a social function that can bring prestige to family, individual, business or simply demonstrate a commitment to preserving the heritage and history of Green County. Includes plaque recognition and standing invitation to attend all Event/Exhibit Presentations.
